Summer Research is in full swing in the EcoLab. Wellesley students Amaya Allen ’18, Sulaikha Buuh ’20, Lyba Khan ’20, and Lauren Tso ’20 are hard at work on a set of projects measuring plant-mycorrhizae-microbial connections in different campus ecosystems as part of the Wellesley Science Center Summer Research program.
Dartmouth PhD students Fiona Jevon and Ashley Lang are deep into their second year of field data collection and greenhouse studies examining soil-plant-ecosystem interactions in temperate forests. They escaped New England for two weeks to learn some new techniques at the Soil Summer Institute at Colorado State. They also both have upcoming posters on Monday, August 7 at the Ecological Society of America annual meeting in Portland.
